So if you experience anything that can ruin your entire day it is the Red Ring of Death on your XBOX 360. It happened to me about 7 months ago I was in the middle of a mad game of halo and boom gone….no XBOX. Once I got it all hooked back up that is when I found it…the reddish colored ring of death also known as the RROD. I recognized this was a bad warning but since I had never had issues before I headed online expecting to find a straightforward fix.

When I located Microsoft support phone number I gave them a call. I held on for an absurd amount of time and finally got someone on the line. He told me the problem probably occurred because the motherboard hit a particular temperature and it triggered the GPU to drop contact with the CPU.

Microsoft claimed they could repair the problem but it would cost me $140 plus shipping and delivery which I might have even be able to deal with but then he told me it requires 3-4 weeks to get it back…now that I can’t deal with. Like I said I was right in the middle of Halo no way I was waiting for more than thirty days to get back at it.

So I kept Googling I checked to see if I could find a neighborhood Kansas XBOX repair company hoping that would eliminate on the amount of time I was out of service. I came across practically with nothing. I was truly ready to bat my head against the wall.

And then I found an article from a person who stated they fixed the same problem in under an hour themselves. This sounded like what I wanted I was hoping to get back on at once. It took me a little under an hour to make the repair and once I got it all back together and instead of being met by the red ring of death I was met by my XBOX powering on and loading up my Halo game.
